Oka

The institutional intelligence platform for software teams.

What is Oka?

Oka captures the friction exhaust of AI-assisted software development — blocks, workarounds, retries, escalations — and turns it into organizational intelligence that compounds over time.

Reason (MCP)

An MCP server that instruments any agent runtime. 19 tools: auth via browser login, 7 write tools capture friction events, 10 read tools query accumulated intelligence. Works with Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code, Codex, Cline, Zed, JetBrains — any MCP client. Get started →

Reason HTTP API

25+ REST endpoints at reason.oka.so covering event ingestion, learning queries, semantic search, consolidation, backlog management, and ontology. API reference →

How it works

  1. Agents emit friction events — decisions, deviations, observations, explorations — as they work, via @oka-core/reason.
  2. Oka consolidates raw events into distilled learnings with confidence scores, resolving contradictions and surfacing patterns.
  3. Future sessions query backcontext, patterns, semantic_search — and get compound organizational intelligence, not raw noise.
  4. Feedback improves results — agents report which learnings were useful, training the ranking model that powers context.

The result: every agent session makes the next one smarter. Institutional knowledge stops evaporating when sessions end or people leave.
